Born in Nagaokakyo-shi, Kyoto prefecture, Japan in 1970.
Lives in Edinburgh, Scotland and starts to take a photographic picture in 1976.
Completes the doctoral course in Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies of Kyoto University and takes a doctorate (Ph.D.) in 1998.
Makes a study of matters of photographic realism and writes papers on photography since 2010.
A member of the Photographic Society of Japan.
Lives in Kobe, Japan.
